About IQAC

IQAC stands for Internal Quality Assurance Cell, a concept integral to higher education institutions, particularly in India. This mechanism was initiated by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an organization that assesses and accredits higher education institutions in India. The primary goal of IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

Key Functions of IQAC:

  1. Development and Application of Quality Benchmarks: IQAC is responsible for setting and applying standards for various academic and administrative activities of the institution.

  2. Facilitating and Monitoring Quality Enhancement Activities: It coordinates all quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.

  3. Organizational Arrangements: The cell ensures that the integrity of academic and administrative processes is maintained.

  4. Feedback System: IQAC regularly collects feedback from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.

  5. Documentation of Various Programmes: Keeping a record of the various programs and activities leading to quality improvement is a vital function.

  6. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR): This report is to be submitted to NAAC annually.
